Women's Basketball Drops Tough 71-70 Contest At Davenport

GAME STORY
- Northwood took the lead 7-2 early and maintained the lead through most of the opening quarter.
- DU briefly took the lead at 11-10 before the Timberwolves finished the frame strong, eventually holding a 27-19 advantage after one.
- The scoring slowed down in the second. Northwood pushed their lead to as many as 12 at 34-22.
- After the Panthers cut the advantage to five, NU bounced back to lead 41-32 at the break.
- Davenport came out fast in the third, scoring the first eight and 11 of the first 13 points of the quarter to tie the game at 43-43.
- DU took their first lead since early in the first at 47-46.
- Northwood fought back to take a 53-51 lead to the final quarter.
- The Timberwolves trailed for much of the fourth, but a Makenzie Todd 3-pointers gave Northwood a 70-68 lead with 49 seconds remaining.
- NU led by one going to the foul line with 23 seconds remaining but missed both free throws.
- Davenport then connected on a pair of free throws to go up by one with eight seconds to go.
- Northwood was unable to net the winning basket in the final moments, giving the Panthers the win.
