RECAP:  Northwood women's basketball dominates the final 14 minutes of an 85-65 win over Lake Erie Thursday night (February 9).

GAME STORY

• The opening half of the game was evenly played – the largest lead for either team was five points.
• The Storm led for the majority of the first and led 14-13 after one.
• There were six ties and six lead changes in the second quarter alone.
• With the Timberwolves leading 28-25, Lake Erie went on their biggest run of the night. The Storm scored the final eight points of the quarter to take their biggest lead of the half (33-28) at the break.
• Northwood struggled shooting in the first half, making just 2-17 from 3-point range (11.8 percent).
• Lake Erie made a 3-pointer to start the second half to take their biggest lead of the day at 36-28.
• The LE advantage stood at 48-41 with 3:54 remaining in the third when the Timberwolves took over. NU scored 11 of the final 15 points of the quarter to send the game to the fourth with the game tied 52-52.
• Northwood's offense was the story of the final quarter, starting with a 18-4 run to start the frame over the opening 4:54.
• NU kept the momentum going throughout the fourth, eventually out-scoring Lake Erie 33-13.
