• Malone set the tone for the day with a fast start, leading 13-0 to start the game. NU was held scoreless for the opening 6:01 of the game.
• The Pioneers eventually led 19-9 after one quarter.
• Northwood posted a 13-0 run of their own to get back within one at 19-18 with 6:21 remaining in the second.
• Malone responded with a 16-4 run to get the lead back up to 13 before score stood at 35-25 at the break.
• The Pioneers continued their run at the start of the second half, scoring the first 10 points to get the lead up to 20 at 45-25.
• NU cut the advantage down to 14 before the lead was 54-37 heading to the fourth.
• Malone scored the first five points of the fourth and did not look back.
• Northwood got no closer than 20 the rest of the way. MU led by as many as 28 before winning by 23.
