GAME STORY

  • Wayne State held a 6-4 lead less than three minutes into the game, which proved to be their final advantage of the contest.
  • Northwood posted a 13-2 run to go up 17-8 on their way to a 26-14 lead after the opening quarter.
  • The Warriors responded with a strong start to the second quarter, scoring 15 of the first 18 points to tie the score at 29-29.
  • NU finished the second by scoring the final eight points to take a 37-29 lead to the break.
  • Northwood pushed the lead to as many as 24 in the third (62-38). A last-second 3-pointer from n near halfcourt for WSU made the score 66-48 heading to the fourth.
  • WSU chipped away at the lead in the fourth, but were unable to get any closer than 11 before the Timberwolves finished off the 84-67 victory
