RECAP: Northwood women's basketball uses a blistering start and a record-tying perimeter shooting performance in a 76-43 win over Lake Erie Wednesday (February 21).
GAME STORY
- After Lake Erie connected on a 3-pointer to open the scoring, the Timberwolves dominated the remainder of the first quarter.
- The Timberwolves posted a 17-2 run to take a 17-5 lead.
- Lake Erie made the score 17-7, only to see the Timberwolves put up the final 10 points of the quarter to lead 27-7.
- Northwood kept the run going well into the second quarter, eventually scoring 25 straight points.
- In all, the Timberwolves posted a 42-4 run after the Storm scored the opening three points of the game.
- NU led 46-13 at the break.
- Lake Erie performed better in the second half but got no closer than 24 the rest of the game.
- Northwood led by as many as 39 down the stretch before winning by 33.
