Bio

Abby Nakfoor joined the Northwood women’s basketball staff in the summer of 2021. She became the first full-time assistant coach hired under head coach Autumn Haggadone.

In her first season at Northwood, NU went 18-10 overall and 12-8 in the GLIAC. The Timberwolves registered an eight-game winning streak in the season, the longest at Northwood in 31 years. 

Nakfoor comes to Northwood after spending two seasons as the video coordinator at Bowling Green State University.  The Falcons had a remarkable turnaround season in her final year at BGSU, going from 10-21 to 21-8 overall while claiming the Mid-American Conference championship.

Nakfoor was a four-year player at Ferris State, averaging 3.2 points and 2.1 rebounds per game as a Bulldog. She also was active in the FSU Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), serving as the president for the Bulldogs.

A native of DeWitt, Nakfoor graduated with a degree in Accounting in 2019.
