Bio

Kristen Rogers joined the Northwood University women's basketball coaching staff in June of 2017. The 2019-20 season will be her third as a part of Northwood's staff.

In her first season at Northwood, the Timberwolves reached the GLIAC Tournament Semifinals for the second time in program history. The team finished the season with 17 victories.

Despite losing four of their top five scorers from the previous season, Rogers helped Northwood to 13 wins overall and spot in the GLIAC Tournament in the 2018-19 season.

“We are extremely fortunate to add a coach the caliber of Kristen Rogers to our staff,” said head coach Jeff Curtis. “She has done great things both as a player and as a coach in our league. Kristen is a hard-working, well-respected coach who will be a great asset to Northwood Basketball.”

Rogers has spent her career playing and coaching in the GLIAC, starting with her playing career at Wayne State. She played for the Warriors from 2002-06, serving as the team captain for her final two seasons. At the conclusion of her playing career, Rogers was an assistant coach at WSU from 2006-11. She also spent three seasons as an assistant at Northern Michigan, including being a part of the 2013-14 NMU team that claimed the GLIAC Tournament Championship. Rogers has spent the last two years as the head coach at Lake Superior State.

She earned a B.A. in mathematics from Wayne State in 2006 and a master’s in sports administration from WSU in 2007.
