Women's Golf Places Seventh At UINDY Fall Invitational

CAMBY, IND. – The Northwood University women's golf team finished seventh out of 18 teams at the UINDY Fall Invitational Monday afternoon (September 22).

The two-day, 36-hole event was held at the Heartland Crossing Golf Lynx. The course played as a 5,976 yard, par-72.

Northwood shot scores of 326 and 328 to finish at 654 overall. Indianapolis was the overall winner at 620 (315-305), followed by California (PA) at 625 and Arkansas Tech at 629.

Senior Emily Vergin (Milford, Mich.) led the way for Northwood, carding rounds of 75 and 80 to tie for 10th overall. Marlies Klekner-Alt (Ottawa, Canada/Newman U.) tied for 27th overall at 163 (78-85). A total of 102 players took part in the event.

Northwood will compete at the GVSU Invitational September 27-28.
