Women's Golf Places Sixth At Findlay - Beall Fall Classic

FINDLAY, OHIO – The Northwood University women's golf team placed sixth out of 15 teams at the Findlay - Beall Fall Classic Monday afternoon (October 13).

The two-day, 36-hole event was held at the Findlay Country Club. The course played as a 6,007 yard, par 72.

Northwood carded rounds of 320 and 326 to finish at 646 overall. Indianapolis was the overall winner at 605, followed by Ashland at 616. The Timberwolves finished right behind fourth place Walsh (643) and California PA (644).

Marlies Klekner-Alt (Ottawa, Ont. / Newman U.) led the way for Northwood. She carded rounds of 78 and 79 to finish in a tie for 12^th overall. Freshman Monica Gabriele (Missassauga, Ont. / St. Joseph) tied for 25^th at 162 (77-85), while Emily Vergin (Milford, Mich.) finished 30^th at 164 (83-81). A total of 87 took part in the event.

Northwood will compete at the Malone Invitational October 19-20 to round out their fall season.
