Women's Golf Places Sixth At The Pioneer Invitational

MASSILLON, OHIO – The Northwood University Women's Golf team placed sixth overall at the Pioneer Invitational Sunday afternoon (October 19).

The two day, 36 hole event was held at the Legends of Massllon Course, which played as a 5,928 yard, par 72.

Northwood shot team scores of 331 and 321 to finish at 652 overall. Ashland was the overall winner at 595, followed by Grand Valley State at 607. A total of 16 teams took part in the event.

Leading the way for Northwood was sophomore Grace Cannon (Liverpool, England). She carded rounds of 80 and 75 to finish at 155 overall, good for 13th place overall. Marlies Klekner-Alt (Ottawa, Ont. /Newman U.) tied for 16th overall at 158 (82-76). A total of 86 players took part in the event.

Northwood has now completed their fall season.
