Women's Golf Places 10th At Perry Park Invitational
PERRY PARK, KY. – The Northwood University women's golf team placed 10th out of 26 teams at the Perry Park Spring Fling Sunday afternoon (March 23).
The three-day, 54-hole event was held at the Perry Park Golf Club. The course played differently each of the three days – day one played as a 5,840 yard par 72, day two played as a 5,832 yard par 70 and day three played as a 5,834 yard par 71.
Northwood shot team scores of 326, 323 and 320 to finish at 969 overall. Grand Valley State was the overall winner at 893, followed by Indianapolis at 900.
Sophomore Grace Cannon (Liverpool, England) led the way for Northwood. She carded scores of 81-78-75 to finish at 234 overall. That was good for 24th place. Marlies Klekner-Alt (Ottawa, Ont./E'Cole) tied for 45th at 243 (79-81-83). A total of 140 players took part in the event.
Northwood will compete at the Ohio Dominican Invitational March 29-30.
