Monica Gabriele, Sydni Harding Named WGCA All-American Scholars

MIDLAND, MICH. – A pair of Northwood University student-athletes from the women's golf team have been named All-American Scholars by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA).

Senior Monica Gabriele claimed the honor for the fourth consecutive season, while freshman Sydni Harding earned recognition for the first time.

Student-athletes need a minimum 3.5 grade point average to earn the award.

Gabrielle had her best season at Northwood as a senior, ending the year with a 79.1 scoring average. She led the team in top-10 finishes (four) and top 20 finishes (six) this season. For her career, Gabriele ended with an 82.3 scoring average. She shot 74 twice this season, which was the second-lowest round of the year for the Timberwolves.

Harding played in all 10 events for the Timberwolves this season. Her scoring average was 82.6, which tied her for fourth on the team. She had one top-10 and a pair of top-20 finishes for Northwood. Like Gabrielle, Harding's low round of the year was 74.
