Women's Golf Shows Dramatic Improvement In Round Two At SVSU Fall Invite

RECAP: Northwood takes major step forward in final round, moves up to fifth place at the SVSU Fall Invitational Saturday-Sunday (September 16).

INSIDE THE EVENT

  • Northwood shot team scores of 330-307 to finish with a team score of 637.
  • Northern Michigan was the overall winner at 608 (304-304), followed by Wayne State (313-313=626) and McKendree (316-310=626).
  • Northwood was in eighth place out of eight teams after the opening day, but their final-round 307 total was the second-best score of day two. That allowed the Timberwolves to move up three spots to fifth place overall.

TOP NU PERFORMERS

  • Ines Dorado: 78-72=150 – tied for fourth. Final round 72 was the lowest individual score of the second day
  • Ali Martus: 84-74=158 – tied for 14th
  • Taylor Harding: 85-77=162 – tied for 22nd
  • A total of 49 players competed in the tournament
