2019 All-GLIAC Women's Golf Teams

MIDLAND, MICH. – Ines Dorado from the Northwood University women's golf team has been named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Freshman of the Year, the league announced Tuesday (April 30).

Dorado was also named Second Team All-GLIAC as well. Sophomore Sydni Harding was also named Honorable Mention.

Dorado has been Northwood's number one player in her freshman season. She currently sports a 78.4 scoring average, one of the best in school history. In 11 events this season, Dorado has posted four top-five finishes.  She shot her season-low round of 71 twice this season, including in the medal match play portion in the GLIAC Championship. In that round at the GLIAC Championship, Dorado posted a hole-in-one at the second hole. She is the second player in Northwood history to earn GLIAC Women's Golf Freshman of the Year, joining Jackie Studor from 2006.

Harding stands with a 79.6 scoring average this season, three strokes better than a year ago. The highlight of her season came at the SVSU Spring Invitational, where she shot rounds of 73 and 74 to earn a first place finish out of 120 players. Harding shot sub-80 rounds a total of nine times this season.

Northwood placed third at the GLIAC Championships. The Timberwolves will compete at the NCAA Super Regionals May 6-8.
