Women's Golf Places Three On WGCA All-American Scholar Team

2020-21 WGCA All-American Scholar Team

MIDLAND, MICH. – The Northwood University women's golf team has had three student-athletes earn All-American Scholar honors by Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA).

Morgan Colby, Sydni Harding and Alissa Waite each were recognized by the WGCA

A total of a total of 1,432 women's collegiate golfers recognized with this prestigious honor.  The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50.

Colby became the No. 5 player for Northwood in her first season in the lineup. She finished the year with a scoring average of 85.1. She had a pair of top-20 finishes on the season and had a low round of 76.  She has a 3.94 GPA while majoring in Operations & Supply Chain Management.

Harding earned First Team All-GLIAC honors this season, marking the third time in her career she has been named All-GLIAC. Harding had in her best season as a Timberwolf, with her scoring average of 75.9 being the lowest in school history. She finished in the top third of all seven of the events this season, including winning the NC4K Classic. For the season, Harding ended the year with an individual winning percentage of .847 (436-79). She qualified as an individual for both the NCAA East Regional and the NCAA Championship. Harding is the only player in program history to reach the NCAA Championships twice. She is an Operations & Supply Chain Management major with a 3.675 GPA.

Waite stepped into the lineup in her second year in the program and played in all 12 team rounds this season. She finished fourth on the team in scoring average at 83.7. Waite had two top-20 finished on the year and had a low round of 76. She has a 3.754 GPA while majoring in Management.
