Women's Golf Opens Season With Eighth Place Finish At UIndy

OVERVIEW – UINDY FALL INVITATIONAL

LOCATION: Prairie View White – Carmel, Ind. (Par 72 – 6,201 yards)
RECAP: Northwood women's golf placed eighth to open its season at the UIndy Fall Invitational (September 13-14).

INSIDE THE EVENT

• Northwood shot team scores of 320, 335 and 315 to finish at 970 overall.
• UIndy was the overall winner at 893 (299-291-303), followed by Missouri-St. Louis (909) and Lee (912).
• A total of 14 teams took part in the event.
• The event annually features some of the top teams in Division II – Indianapolis (4), Findlay (5),  Missouri-St. Louis (16), Lee (23), North Georgia (23) and Carson-Newman (24) all played in the event and finished last season ranked in the top-25 nationally.

TOP NU PERFORMERS

• Sydni Harding: 77-77-75=229 – tied for 14th overall
• Tyler Kautz: 84-84-75=243 – tied for 48th
• Ines Dorado: 78-83-88=249 – tied for 55th
• A total of 84 players competed in the tournament

UP NEXT

• Northwood will compete at the Gildas Club Laker Invitational September 25 at Grand Valley State.
