RECAP: Northwood women's golf overcomes a slow start to post a third place finish at the Saddlebrook Spring Kickoff Friday-Sunday (March 10-12).

INSIDE THE EVENT

  • Northwood stood in fifth place after the opening round after carding a 322.
  • The Timberwolves stepped their game up in the final two rounds, shooting rounds of 315 and 313 to finish at 950 overall.
  • NU's final-round 313 was the second-best score of the day, trailing only tournament champion Keiser (301). The Timberwolves' score was 10-shots better than the third place score of 323 by Walsh.
  • Northwood finished third in the event overall. Keiser finished at 906 overall, followed by Tiffin at 931.
  • A total of 14 teams took part in the event.

TOP NU PERFORMERS

  • Tyler Kautz: 79-77-79=235 – tied for 10th place
  • Sydni Harding: 82-75-82=239 – tied for 19th place
  • Morgan Colby: 83-79-77=239 – tied for 19th place
  • A total of 81 players competed in the tournament
