Women's Golf Earns Bid To NCAA East Regional Championship

NCAA REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP RELEASE

MIDLAND, MICH. – The Northwood University women's golf team has earned a bid to the NCAA Super Regionals.

The 54-hole competition will be conducted May 2-4 at the Shoal Creek Golf Club in Kansas City, Missouri. The top five teams along with the top two individuals with non-qualifying team from the super regional will advance to the NCAA championships.

There are four regional sites throughout the country. A total of 18 teams and eight individuals from non-qualifying teams will advance to the NCAA Championships.

Northwood is the No. 7 seed in the 15-team East Regional event. The Timberwolves are one of five Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference teams to earn a bid (Grand Valley State, Wayne State, Saginaw Valley, Ferris State).

Northwood has turned in one of the best seasons in program history. NU finished second at the GLIAC Championships, the best finish in school history. The Timberwolves currently sport a 315.1 team scoring average, the second best in school history.
