MIDLAND, MICH. - The Northwood women's soccer team drops a 2-1 contest at Friday evening (Sept. 25).
The Timberwolves are now 1-4-1 this season, 1-2 in the GLIAC. The Eagles improve to 6-0 on the year, 3-0 in the GLIAC.
AU was the first to score, going up 1-0 into the half. NU's Jessica Flores (San Diego, Calif. / Verdugo Hills) tied the match on an unassisted goal at 68:03 but Ashland responded at 74:00 with the game-winner.
The Timberwolves played the Eagles fairly evenly with both teams registering eight shots and senior keeper Julie Shields (Berkley, Mich. / Berkley) recording a pair of saves.
Northwood travels to Lake Erie at Noon on Sunday (Sept. 27).
