• The opening half of the game was scoreless. Neither team put together much offense in the first half – NU out-shot Concordia 5-3 in the opening 45 minutes.
• Both teams generated better scoring opportunities in the second half but it was Northwood who scored both goals to earn the win. NU got on the board first in the 57^th minute on a goal by Alyssa Cowper (Troy, Mich./Athens) on an assist from Jessica Esser (Utica, Mich./Eisenhower). It was the second goal of the season for Cowper.
• Northwood then got the insurance goal in the 84^th minute on a strike from Sara Lamphere (Goodrich, Mich.).
