Dean Pappas Resigns As Head Women's Soccer Coach

MIDLAND, MICH. – Dean Pappas has announced his resignation as the head coach of the Northwood University women's soccer program.

"We appreciate Dean's years of leadership for the Northwood soccer programs – both women and men, and wish him well in his future endeavors," said Dave Marsh, Northwood University Director of Athletics.

Pappas became the third head coach of the women's soccer program in 2010. He went 39-69-7 overall, 31-49-4 in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference over his seven years with the program. The team reached the GLIAC Tournament four times. In all, Pappas spent 11 years at Northwood as a head coach and as an assistant.

"My wife is happy," said Pappas. "I'll do some needed travel. I will miss the friendships and cherish the memories of my time at Northwood."

A national search for a new coach will begin immediately.
