OVERVIEW – University of Wisconsin-Parkside 

SCORE:  UW-Parkside Rangers 1, Northwood Timberwolves 0 

RECORDS: Northwood 2-6-1 (1-2-1 GLIAC), UW-Parkside 2-7-2 (1-3 GLIAC) 

LOCATION: Wood Road Field – Kenosha, Wisc.  

RECAP: Despite controlling the run of play for nearly all the match, an early penalty was too much for the Timberwolves to overcome as they fell 1-0 at UW-Parkside.  

GAME HIGHLIGHTS 

  • The hosts got on the board early after being awarded a penalty in the eighth minute.  Chloe Couves converted from the spot to make the score 1-0.  

  • The Timberwolves responded quickly tallying a pair of shots in the next five minutes.  Jillian Hon forced Rangers keeper Adrianna Bratel into her first save in the 13th minute.  

  • Despite outshooting the Rangers 7-1 throughout the remainder of the half, the Timberwolves were unable to level the match and went into the break trailing 1-0. 

  • Northwood wasted no time putting pressure on in the second half as Katelyn Wilkowski had a chance on goal just four minutes into the period.  Bratel was up to the task, however, and kept the score at 1-0. 

  • The Timberwolves continued to pepper shots at the Parkside goal, outshooting the hosts 10-1 in the second stanza. 

  • Northwood had one last chance on goal in the 84th minute, but Ashton Brooks' shot was saved to keep the score 1-0.  The Rangers would hold out for the remaining six minutes for their second GLIAC victory.
