RECAP: Northwood Women's soccer responds to first loss of the season with a 3-1 road win over Parkside Sunday afternoon (September 26).
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- Both teams had chances in the opening half, but the game was scoreless at the break. NU held a 9-4 edge in shots and 4-0 advantage in corner kicks.
- The Timberwolves wasted no time getting going in the second half, scoring just 30 seconds in. Abigail Fowler scored her fourth goal of the season to put Northwood up 1-0.
- Parkside responded in the 65th minute, scoring to level the score 1-1.
- Northwood was the better team the rest of the way, starting with a goal from Jessica Piper. Her sixth goal of the season was assisted by Juliana Paoletti and put NU 2-1.
- Paoletti rounded out the scoring in the 81st minute. Her unassisted goal at 80:41 rounded out the Timberwolves 3-1 win.
