RECAP: The Northwood women's soccer team battled the Trojans of Trevecca Nazarene Saturday (September 24) in their first-ever matchup. Both teams were atop the GMAC standings as No. 1 Northwood had a one conference point lead on the No. 2 Trojans. The conference lead was maintained after the 0-0 draw in Midland.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS

  • Northwood dominated possession for a majority of the game as the Timberwolves managed 25 shots during the contest versus the Trojans' 11. Of Northwood's 25 shots only seven were on goal.
  • The ability to get quality shots for either team was at a minimum. A breakaway shot by Carly Boyd to the top center in the 78' minute was the best chance NU could muster, TNU goalkeeper made a great save jumping high to deflect the ball out.
  • A clean game throughout; neither team was assessed cards.
