RECAP: The Northwood women's soccer team went out of conference to face instate foe Ferris State Monday (October 3) in Big Rapids, Mich. The match was a rescheduled game from August 28. Northwood would struggle in the loss, falling to the Bulldogs 4-1.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS

  • Northwood took advantage early in the 5' as Abbie Fowler dribbled to the right post before passing it back into the box to Brooke Honeycutt before she scored it underneath a diving Ferris State goalie, 1-0 NU.
  • Honeycutt has scored four times over the last three games. She now leads the team with seven goals this season.
  • Ferris would tie it up in the 26' with a dribbler inside the left post that slipped through, 1-1.
  • Ferris would add another score a minute later as the Bulldogs would take the lead, 1-2 FSU.
  • Northwood would find themselves down 3-1 going into the break after another FSU goal late in the first half, 1-3 FSU.
  • The Timberwolves couldn't muster a comeback as the Bulldog defense halted Northwood's offense a majority of the game. FSU would go on to win 4-1, limiting the Timberwolves to just three shots in full time.
