RECAP: The Northwood women's soccer team finished their three-game road trip to Lake Erie. Northwood's stingy defense saw the Timberwolves dominate from start to finish, beating the Storm 2-0.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS

  • Northwood struck first in the 21' behind Julianna Paoletti's 25th career goal. Carly Boyd would be in on the assist for her eighth of the season, 1-0 NU.
  • Paoletti is now the seventh player in program history to record at least 25 goals in a career.
  •  The Timberwolf defense was stingy all game, holding the storm to just a single shot through the 67' and two through the entire game.
  • Following a corner, Abbie Fowler would add her ninth goal of the season as a cross from Brooke Dolkowski gave her a crease to put in the back of the net in the 88', 2-0 NU.
  • Fowler now shares the team lead with Brooke Honeycutt with nine goals this season.  
  • Andrea Everett recorded her fifth clean sheet of the year as Northwood would go on to win 2-0. 
  • Northwood has clinched a berth in the GMAC Tournament making this the third straight season women's soccer has made the conference tournament.
