GAME HIGHLIGHTS

  • UIndy would strike first via a header off a cross from 25 yards out. The Greyhounds scored in the 10' to go up 1-0.
  • In the 29', Northwood's Juliana Paoletti would be off and running on a Timberwolves breakaway from midfield. Paoletti's execution allowed her to dribble directly at the goalkeeper to score the equalizer, 1-1. The goal was the 30th of her career in the blue and white.
  • UIndy's goalkeeper would receive a yellow card in the 41' that awarded the Timberwolves the chance to take the lead before the half. Sydney Rizo got her chance and made it count, scoring her first career goal on the penalty kick, 2-1 NU.
  • Coming out of the half, Northwood showed its quick striking abilities. The Timberwolves took two passes to get from just behind midfield to the right foot of Paoletti as she scored her second goal of the match and the 31st of her career. She now sits alone in fourth on the all-time goals list at Northwood. Katie Foster's pass over Paoletti's shoulder set up the scoring opportunity.
  • The Timberwolves would later counter on a free kick from the Greyhounds. Northwood's Paoletti would get her fifth point of the match after NU stole possession and drove down the far sideline. Mia Thomson was the receiver of the sliding cross as she got just enough to dribble it past the diving goalkeeper to the bottom right corner, 4-1 NU.
  • Northwood would hold the lead to get their first win of the season, 4-1.
