GAME HIGHLIGHTS

  • Through the first 20 minutes, both squads were battling back and forth doing their best to get possession. ODU had a prime chance to take the early lead with an incidental handball in the box by Northwood. ODU's penalty kicker would do her best fake, but Lindsay Jacob would deny the shot.
  • Northwood earned a free kick in the 27' just in front of the midfield circle. A cross into the box got the Panthers out of position as Stephanie O'Keefe took the bobbled ball towards the right post crossing it to Katie Foster on the left side for a 1-0 lead.
  • Foster's goal was the first of her career as she competed in her 57th career match. She is the fifth Northwood player to tally her first career goal this season.
  • Out of the halftime break, Carly Boyd seized the opportunity to add to the lead. An errant pass from NU deflected off an ODU defender, but right to Boyd who lofted it over a backpedaling ODU goalkeeper from 25 yards out.
  • The Timberwolves' defense continued to shine the rest of the way as they continued to turn away the Panthers. Jacob's defense led to her third blank sheet of the season.
