Women's Tennis Defeats Ferris State 8-1

MIDLAND, MICH. – The Northwood University women's tennis team posted an 8-1 victory over Ferris State in their home opener Wednesday afternoon (September 17).

Northwood is now 3-0 overall, 3-0 in the GLIAC. Ferris State dropped their first match of the season – they now stand at 4-1 overall, 3-0 in the GLIAC.

The Timberwolves set the tone for the match in doubles, sweeping all the matches to take a 3-0 lead heading into singles. Once in singles, Northwood won five of the six matches to finish off the victory.

For the day, Alisa Reshetnikova, Oleisa Riabchuk, Anastasiia Kazub, Anna Aniskina and Margarita Asatryan all went 2-0 for the Timberwolves.

Northwood will travel to Michigan Tech Saturday (September 20). First serve is set for 10 a.m.
