ASHLAND, OHIO – The Northwood University women's tennis team picked up a 5-0 win over Ashland Friday afternoon (October 2).

Northwood is now 6-1 overall and in the GLIAC. Ashland stands at 2-5 overall and in the GLIAC.

The Timberwolves picked up three wins in doubles to take early control in the match, dropping eight games in three pro sets. Northwood then picked up a pair of quick straight-set wins in singles to clinch the overall victory.

The final four matches on the courts were unfinished due to rain in the area.

Northwood will travel to Walsh Saturday morning (October 3) for an 8 a.m. match.
