Women's Tennis Defeats Hillsdale 7-2
MIDLAND, MICH. – The Northwood University women's tennis team picked up a 7-2 win over Hillsdale Saturday afternoon (October 10).
Northwood improves to 8-1 overall and in the GLIAC and are currently on a six-match winning streak. Hillsdale stands at 5-4 overall and in the GLIAC.
The big key to the match proved to be doubles, where Northwood swept the three matches. That gave Northwood a 3-0 lead heading into singles, where the Timberwolves won four of the six matches. All four of Northwood's wins in singles came in straight sets.
On the day, Alisa Reshetnikova, Olesia Riabchuk and Anastasiia Kazub all went 2-0 for the Timberwolves.
Northwood will host Wayne State Tuesday afternoon (October 13). That match will begin at 2 p.m.
