HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The No. 19 Northwood University women's tennis team picked up a 7-2 win over Davis & Elkins Thursday afternoon (March 10).

Northwood improves to 15-2 with the victory. Davis & Elkins stands at 3-7 with the loss.

The Timberwolves played the match one player short due to injury, forcing Northwood to forfeit at the No. 3 doubles and the No. 6 singles position.

The matches that did take place were dominated by the Timberwolves. Northwood won both of the doubles matches 8-0 to take a 2-1 lead heading to singles. NU then won all five singles matches in straight sets. The Timberwolves dropped a total of just four games in the 10 sets completed.

Northwood will take on Chowan Friday (March 11) at 8:30 a.m.
