INSIDE THE MATCH

Grand Valley State earned the doubles point with wins in two of the three matches. Northwood came out on top at the No. 1 position 6-1, while GVSU won 6-1 at the No. 3 slot. GVSU got the point thanks to winning by injury retirement in the No. 2 match.
Without Northwood's No. 3 player, Kate Berestovenko, the Timberwolves were forced to shift their lineup up one slot from the third position through the sixth slot.
GVSU was the better team in singels, winning five of the six matches.
