GLIAC Champs! Women's Tennis Earns Share Of Title With 5-2 Win Over Wayne State

RECAP: Northwood women's tennis claims a share of the GLIAC Championship and the No. 1 seed in the upcoming conference tournament with a 5-2 win over Wayne State Saturday (April 23).
INSIDE THE MATCH
- Northwood earned the key doubles point with wins at the No. 1 and No. 2 slots to go up 1-0 heading into singles.
- Singles were evenly contested, but the Timberwolves picked up four wins to take the overall match.
- Three of the six singles matches were decided in straight-sets.

NORTHWOOD NOTES
- This is the first GLIAC Championship for Northwood women's tennis since 2018. It is NU's 15 GLIAC Championship overall.
- Northwood finished the regular season tied with Wayne State and Grand Valley State, all of whom finished 7-1 in conference play. Northwood will be the top-seed in the GLIAC Tournament through tiebreakers, with WSU earning the No. 2 seed and GVSU at No. 3
