RECAP: Northwood women's tennis picks up its first Great Midwest Athletic Conference win Saturday (March 25) with a 5-2 victory over Walsh.

INSIDE THE MATCH

  • After each team picked up wins to start, the doubles point came down to the No. 2 match. NU's duo of Danijela Danilovic and Sophie-Malin Von Dusterlho came through for Northwood with a 7-6 win to give the Timberwolves a 1-0 lead.
  • Rafaella Fulop and Rafella Platsiota gave the Timberwolves their other win in doubles, claiming the No. 1 match 6-3.
  • Northwood was the better team in singles as well, taking four of the six matches.
  • Fulop (No. 2), Savannah Matuszewski (No. 4) and Von Dusterlho (No. 5). earned wins for the Timberwolves in singles.
  • Five of the six matches were decided in straight sets.
