Women's Tennis Slotted at No. 7 in the NCAA Midwest Regional Rankings

MIDLAND, MICH. – The Northwood women's tennis team (14-4, 7-1 G-MAC) appeared at No. 7 in the initial 2024 NCAA DII Midwest regional rankings released Wednesday (April 24).

Northwood was one of three teams from the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) in the rankings. Others include No. 2 Tiffin (23-2) and No. 4 Findlay (12-5). In-state foes include No. 3 Wayne St. (14-5), No. 5 Ferris St. (11-8), and No.6 Grand Valley St. (10-8).

For the conference tournament, the Northwood women's tennis team is the second seed. They will play the winner of the Hillsdale/Findlay match on Friday, April 26 at 2:00 pm. The G-MAC tournament is being hosted by Kentucky Wesleyan at Centre Court of Owensboro, KY.

48 teams will qualify for this year's NCAA Tournament, with the top seven teams from the Midwest Region earning a berth. Postseason action of the NCAA tournament will begin on May 10-11 with the first and second rounds.

The NCAA selection show is set for Monday, May 6 at 8:30 PM ET on NCAA.com
