Women's Outdoor Track & Field Picked To Finish Eighth In Preseason Poll
GLIAC WOMEN'S OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD PRESEASON COACH'S POLL
MIDLAND, MICH. – The Northwood University women's track & field team has been picked to finish eighth in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) by the coaches in its annual preseason poll, the league announced Monday (March 28).
Northwood received 25 points in the poll. Grand Valley State was picked to win the GLIAC with 81 points and nine first place votes, while Wayne State was third with 59 points.
The Timberwolves opened the year competing at the Yellow Jacket Collegiate Outdoor Open (March 26). During the events, Northwood brought home two golds in the field portion of the competition. Taky Ezell took first in the hammer throw with her personal record throw of 50.02m while Jessica Kursinsky won the shot put with a 13.67m toss.
Northwood is scheduled to compete at the Golden Grizzlies Invite and the Pacesetter Sports Invitational on April 8.
