Volleyball Signs Veronica George To Letter Of Intent

MIDLAND, MICH. – The Northwood University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics has announced that Veronica George (Marysville, Ohio) has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Northwood volleyball program.

George will join the team for the 2016 season.

A 5-11 outside/right side hitter, George was a Second Team All-Conference performer for Marysville High School. She also earned Honorable Mention All-District honors as well. George also was a key player at the Elite Volleyball Training Center in Plain City, Ohio. Several of the teams she played for at the Elite Volleyball Training Center qualified for the USA Volleyball National Championship Tournament. In 2015, the team won the silver medal at the AAU's one year after placing fifth in the gold bracket.

George has been a Scholar Athlete throughout high school and plans to major in Marketing at Northwood.
