Volleyball Loses In Five Sets At Northern Michigan
OVERVIEW – NORTHERN MICHIGAN
SCORE: Northern Michigan 3, Northwood 2 (20-25, 21-25, 25-19, 25-14, 15-11)
RECORDS: Northwood (13-13, 4-11 GLIAC), Northern Michigan (14-8, 6-9 GLIAC)

RECAP: Northern Michigan rallies from a 0-2 deficit to down Northwood 3-2 Saturday afternoon (November 5).
INSIDE THE MATCH
- Both offenses came out fast to start the match, but Northwood's was a bit better in the opening set. NU hit .378 (17-3-37) while NMU finished at .294 (12-2-34). Northwood earned early leads of 5-1 and 15-7 en route to a 25-20 opening set win.
- The Timberwolves offense kept their strong play going in the second set, registering 16 kills and a .342 attack percentage (16-3-38). After the score was tied 9-9, NU finished strong to win 25-21 to lead the match 2-0.
- Northern Michigan began its comeback in the third set with a late push. NMU led 19-18 in the set before scoring six of the final seven points to win 25-19. The Wildcats out-hit Northwood .259-.167 in the set.
- NMU dominated the fourth set thanks to a big run. The Wildcats led 9-7 when Northern Michigan posted 11 of the next 13 points to go up 20-9 before winning 25-14. NMU hit .303 in the fourth (15-5-33) while holding Northwood to a .061 clip (8-6-33).
- The final set was tied 11-11 when the Wildcats made one final push to close out the win. The Wildcats scored the final four points to take the set 15-11 and claim the match 3-2.
