Volleyball Adds Mary Gallagher and Marlee Bromberg To Recruiting Class
MIDLAND, MICH. – The Northwood University volleyball team has announced the addition of a pair of student-athletes to their 2017 recruiting class.
Marlee Bromberg (Bay City, Mich./Essexville Garber) and Mary Gallagher (Whitmore Lake, Mich./Dexter) will be joining the team for the upcoming season.
MARLEE BROMBERG (5-9, OH)
2016 Bay City Times Player of the Year … named to the Bay City Times Dream Team … claimed Academic All-State honors … holds Essexville Garber record for kills in a season … team captain … named All-Conference and All Region.

MARY GALLAGHER (6-1, MH)
Three-year varsity letter winner … named Team Most Valuable Player in 2016 … team captain in 2016 … claimed All-Southeastern Conference honors in 2015 and 2016 … earned Scholar-Athlete honors in 2015 and 2016.
GALLAGHER ON WHY SHE CHOSE NORTHWOOD
"I chose Northwood University to continue my volleyball and academic career because I have always aspired to play in the GLIAC and in a division II program, as well as gain a strong business education. Throughout my visit, the coaches made me feel like a part of the team and so did the other players allowing me to really envision myself as a part of the program. The moment I stepped on campus I felt at home. I have always been interested in a business degree and with Northwood being such a successful business school it made my decision that much easier."
Northwood will open their 2017 season at the Malone Invitational September 1.
