Volleyball Loses At Davenport 3-0

INSIDE THE MATCH
- The opening set was tight – the biggest lead for either team was four points. The score was tied 23-23 late when the Panthers scored the final two point to take a 1-0 lead. Northwood hit .136 in the set (13-7-44), while Davenport finished at .273 (15-3-44).
- The first half of the second set was tight, much like the first set. Davenport led 16-14 when the Panthers slowly built their lead the remainder of the set. DU never scored more than two points in a row the rest of the set, but scored two points in a row three times down the stretch to win 25-21. Davenport maintained their advantage on the offensive end, hitting .294 (15-5-34) compared to Northwood at .188 (12-6-32).
- DU took control of the final set right away, scoring the first six point and nine of the first 10 overall. Northwood got no closer than seven points the rest of the way as the Panthers took the third 25-13. NU struggled in the final set, hitting -.067 (7-9-30). Davenport had another solid hitting set in the third, finishing at .286 (11-3-28).
