Volleyball Signs Renee Brines To Letter of Intent

MIDLAND, MICH. – The Northwood University volleyball team has announced the signing of Renee Brines (Cadillac, Mich.) to a National Letter of Intent.

"We are excited to have Renee join our program," said head coach Dave Shumaker. "She is a high-level setter who brings four years of varsity experience and a superior volleyball IQ.   As a lefty, she brings some interest attacking options to her game. It will be fun to watch her develop as a collegiate setter."

Brines has been a four-year standout at Cadillac High School. She has earned All-Region honors four times in her career to go along with claiming All-State honors three times. The all-time leader in assists in Cadillac history, Brines recently finished sixth in the Miss Volleyball voting for the state of Michigan. She is also a standout in track & field, earning All-State honors as a middle-distance runner in the 4X800 relay team.
