Volleyball Wins Home Opener 3-0 Over Alma

RECAP:  Volleyball opens the home portion of their schedule with a 3-0 sweep over Alma Tuesday night (September 6).

INSIDE THE MATCH

• The opening set was all Northwood from the start, as the Timberwolves earned 10 of the first 11 points of the match. Alma got no closer than eight the rest of the set, which was won by NU 25-8.
• Northwood started the second fast as well, scoring the first four points and nine of the first 11 overall. The Scots fought back to get within four at 15-11 before the Timberwolves earned 10 of the final 13 points to take the set 25-14 and lead 2-0.  
• The third set was tied 5-5 early on when Northwood ran off eight consecutive points to lead 13-5. Alma used a late 6-1 run to get within four at 24-20 before NU finished off the match with a 25-20 third-set victory.
