INSIDE THE MATCH

• Northwood started the match fast, earning eight of the first 10 points. The Pioneers got no closer than four the rest of the way and Northwood's 10-point margin at the end of the set at 25-15 matched their biggest of the set.
• The Timberwolves kept the momentum going early in the second set, scoring 10 of the first 11 points. Northwood stayed in control the remainder of the set, not allowing the Pioneers to get any closer than four. NU eventually won 25-15 for a 2-0 advantage.
• The third set was much closer, as Malone got off to a fast start with a 7-3 lead. The Pioneers eventually led by as many as six (14-8) before the Timberwolves stormed back. MU led 18-16 late when Northwood scored nine of the final 11 points to win 25-20 to complete the sweep.
