Volleyball Loses To Cedarville 3-1

RECAP: Northwood Volleyball sees it six-match winning streak come to an end with a 3-1 loss to Cedarville Saturday (September 24).
INSIDE THE MATCH
- Cedarville broke the opening set open after the score was tied 7-7. The Yellow Jackets put up 12 of the next 15 points to go up 19-10. Northwood fought back to get within five at 21-16, but Cedarville maintained control the remainder of the way for a 25-18 opening set victory.
- At nearly the same point of the second set, the Yellow Jackets took control once again. The score was tied 7-7 when CU put up nine of the next 11 points to earn a 16-9 lead. Northwood got no closer than six points the rest of the second, which Cedarville won 25-16.
- The Timberwolves came out fast in set three, scoring the opening four points. Cedarville responded, coming back to tie the score 7-7. Things remained close the remainder of the set until it appeared CU was ready to sweep the match with a 19-15 lead. But Northwood responded with a big run, taking 10 of the final 13 points of the set to win 25-22.
- Set four was evenly played early, as the score was tied at 11. Cedarville made the final key push to close out the match leading 18-16, taking seven of the final 10 points to win the fourth set 25-19.
