Volleyball Drops 3-0 Match To Ashland

INSIDE THE MATCH
- Ashland scored four of the first five points of the match and did not trail the remainder of the set. Northwood trailed 10-8 when the Eagles put up seven of the next nine points to lead 17-10. NU got no closer than four the rest of the set, which was one by Ashland 25-17.
- Northwood played much better early in the second set, forcing an Ashland timeout with the Timberwolves leading 14-8. The Eagles responded with five of the next six points to make the score 15-13. NU came right back, eventually going up 20-17. But Ashland was the better team to finish the second set, putting up eight of the final 11 points to close out the set 25-23 to go up 2-0.
- Ashland scored the first point of the third set and held onto the lead throughout. AU led 13-11 when the Eagles controlled the final portion of the match, scoring 12 of the final 17 points to complete the sweet 25-16.
