INSIDE THE MATCH

• Northwood started the match strong, scoring seven of the first nine points. Trevecca responded with a 7-2 run of their own to level the score at 9-9. The Timberwolves went back on top 13-10 and led 20-17 when the Trojans took over. TNU scored eight of the final 10 points to earn the set 25-22 and a 1-0 lead.
• Trevecca kept the momentum going early in the second set, scoring five of the first six points. Northwood got within two points four separate times but were unable to get any closer. With Trojans lead standing at 15-13, Trevecca scored 10 of the final 13 points to win the second set 25-16 for a 2-0 advantage.
• The Trojans led the third set 4-3 when Trevecca took control, scoring six of the next eight points to lead 10-5. With the score 11-7, TNU went on a 9-2 run to go up 20-9. NU played better the rest of the way but were unable to complete the comeback, as Trevecca finished the sweep with a 25-17 third-set win.
