Volleyball Sweeps Malone 3-0 On Senior Day

RECAP: Northwood volleyball earned a 3-0 senior day win over Malone Saturday (November 4).

INSIDE THE MATCH

• Northwood started the match by scoring the first three points. NU's eventually took a 7-2 lead before Malone fought back to make the score 8-7. The Timberwolves led 17-15 when NU finished strong, putting up eight of the final nine points to take the opening set 25-16.
• NU kept the momentum going early in the second, scoring six of the first seven points. Northwood maintained control throughout, not allowing the Pioneers to get any closer than three points the rest of the way. The Timberwolves eventually took the set 25-18 to go up 2-0.
• Malone played their best set of the match in the third, scoring three of the first four points. The Pioneers held leads of 7-4, 10-6 and 13-10 before Northwood responded. Northwood took the lead for good at 17-16 and eventually won the set 25-20 to take the match 3-0.
