Volleyball Claims 3-1 Road Win At Findlay

RECAP: Northwood volleyball earns its second straight big road win Friday (November 10), taking down Findlay 3-1.

INSIDE THE MATCH

  • The opening set was tied 9-9 when Findlay made a run to go up 14-11. Northwood responded with five straight points to go up 15-14, only to see the Oilers respond with five straight of their own to lead 19-15. UF went on to take the set 25-21 for
  • NU trailed 10-8 in the second when the Timberwolves posted a 7-0 run to earn a 15-10 lead. The Oilers chipped away at the lead but got no closer than two the rest of the way. Northwood eventually took the set 25-22 to level the match 1-1.
  • Northwood kept the momentum going early in the third, scoring 10 of the first 13 points of the set. The Timberwolves did not allow Findlay to have a chance in the third, as UF got no closer than six the rest of the way. The Timberwolves took the set 25-15 for a 2-1 lead.
  • Findlay started the fourth with three straight points, but NU responded in a big way to take control. Northwood scored seven straight points to take a 7-3 lead. The Timberwolves maintained their advantage the rest of the way, leading by as many as 10 down the stretch. The Timberwolves took the fourth 25-16 to close out the 3-1 victory.
