Cross Country Competes at Spartan Invitational

LOCATION: Michigan State University – East Lansing, Mich.
RECAP: The Northwood University cross country teams competed at the Spartan Invitational Friday (September 14).
INSIDE THE MEET
- The Northwood men were led senior Dylan Rocha led the Timberwolves with a 64th place finish in 26:57.2.
- Freshman Zane Aldrich served as the No. 2 runner for NU this week. His time of 27:19.2 was good for 79th place in the race.
- Sophomore Brian Patrick rounded out the top 3 finishers for the Timberwolves, crossing the line in 27:30.7 for 87th place overall.
- The men finished 10th overall in the standings with a team score of 308 points. 250 runners took part in the 8k.
- The Northwood women were led on the 6k course by senior Mallory Balmert, clocking a time of 25:55.1.
- Freshman Katherine Wozniak maintained her position as NU's No. 2 runner and posted a time of 26:40.0.
- Sophomore Madi Brooks served as Northwood's No. 3 runner for the second straight week, crossing the line in 27:04.3.
- The women finished 18th in the team standings with 543 points. 232 women ran the 6k race.

- Northwood will travel to Louisville, Ky. for the Greater Louisville Classic Saturday (September 29).
